The story, originally written by Sayuri Kuniko, follows Fujiko, a scientific researcher who succeeds in developing the "liquid device." To protect her from a secret organization targeting the device, an elite member of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's Special Operations Group, Kaname, approaches her. The narrative revolves around a love triangle between Fujiko, her childhood friend Souya and Kaname.
